Si se puede!

Yes we can! Yes we can make the playoffs. You gots to believe. To have the audacity of hope. Hope that is founded in fact.

FACT: three teams are 3-1 right now and looking good.
FACT: 2 of those teams (Sandals, Grove Red) are the only two teams to ever win the upper division and are the best teams in the league.
FACT: Tim Sr. has a mustache.
FACT: For the first time in Cobra Kai history, Cameron does not lead the team in strikeouts (thank you Arismendi)
FACT: of the 3 other playoff contenders, none of them have won consecutive titles.
FACT: we easily beat one of these teams this season (Grace Community)
FACT: Big Dogs and Sons has "Big Dogs" in their team name, aligning themselves with the clothing line specifically designed for those who proudly admit and embrace their obesity.
FACT: Big Dogs has played 6 games and has 3 losses. Advantage Cobra Kai.
FACT: Big Dogs has the toughest remaining schedule possible (Grove Red, Sandal, 3 in 1, and us)

The facts make it clear: the playoffs are within reach. Easily within reach. So make it a point to stop missing games (Aaron), stop shaving your mustaches, and hope on board the Straight Talk Express!

Win one for the gipper!

New Photos

Hey guys I add photos from the last couple of games. I didn't take all that many, considering our innings have been going quite quickly as of late. Want more photos, hit the ball!!!

Be there 8/23

August 23rd Rich, Dan, Josh, and myself will not be there. If you can, please keep that day free and plan on playing. Please don't let any wine tasting parties, guys night out, hula dancing, extra shifts at work, or deaths in the family keep you from the game.

We'll be playing Sandals, one of the best teams in the league, and need everyone there (other than the four of us off on our mini-vacation).

4pm game that day. Be there!

2-0 Good Start

So The second game was a little shaky. We lost some key bodies, we gained some key bodies, end result, victory. Personally I played horrible from the plate, as expected, though it was only my 1st strike out swinging. Hopefully it will be the last. Impressive was the presence of the once USC Short Stop, Blake was throwing people out at home on plays where we would all expect an errant throw or a slower reaction time. Though we did not swing the bats like we normally do, our low run count was enough to dispatch the opposing team. Even our worst inning with some miscues in the outfield was not enough to make the game too scary. The two highlights I would take from this game personally were: A) When I accidentally foul tipped a ball right into the catchers Prized posessions. and B) when the opposing pitcher told me that their LF had pegged three people in the last two weeks and all three opposing players (one being the nasty headshot some of us witnessed last week, the other being Blake's gutshot as 3rd base coach). Hopefully we can keep up the streak of wins!

for posterity's sake

So as not to be forgotten, my contribution to another winning season will be merely verbal. My first installment is to congratulate the team on an undeniably lucky victory this past Saturday. In the upper division! And playing without me! My first (and possibly last) encouragment is to not let it go to the head.

New Recruit Mendi's opinion of Cobra Kai Softball

This coming Saturday will be my fourth game for the legendary Cobra Kai softball team. So far in my tenure we are 3-0! Having blasted opponents for no less than 20 runs per game! (not that I'm to praise for that) I have had a blast so far. I have always been an outgoing talkative person and I love meeting new people so it has been fun getting to know the guys on the Cobra Kai squad. I hope to stick around for a few seasons. Maybe, just MAYBE, I will learn how to HIT a softball to get on base, again, that's a MAYBE. Until then I'll keep getting away with lucky walks and errors haha. We have some good guys on this team, I'm happy to be a part of it and hope my undefeated streak with the team continues! Go Cobra Kai!

Sincerely,

Daniel "Mendi" Arismendi
